Vanessa's outfit itself is simple and comfortable -- unpretentious yet refined, to balance the quirky high-profile chic of her shoes. While Vanessa's choice was dark-denim skinny jeans (try Charlotte Russe, H&M, or Delia's for similar styles!), they are a look that is hard to pull off with body shapes different than Baby V's... try flare- or boot-cut dark denim (JC Penney, Bergman's, or Macy's all carry lots of brands of jeans, or try Buckle for harder-to-find sizes) or even a denim skirt from Charlotte Russe if skinny jeans won't make you look your personal best. For a shirt, plain colors are the way to go! Vanessa chose black to accent her chunky ring and Zanotti pumps, but if your favorite color scheme falls towards gray, white, or brown, go for it!
Vanessa likes to rock bright shades -- in HSM she sizzled in red, for "Say OK" she called on classic Barbie pink for inspiration -- and her fab shoes are no exception! Since her exact shoes don't seem to be on the market yet, you can find your own superstar brightly-colored shoes at the highly-affordable Target. Since Vanessa's outfit shines in lavender, I found six pretty purple pumps to choose from, but if violet doesn't thrill you, look for shocking shoes in your own fave shade (my own personal favorite shoes are lime green!). Besides Target, you can find supercute summer shoes at Payless, H&M, DSW, and department stores like Macy's and Bloomingdale's, although a lot of the world's cutest shoes can be found secondhand... just make sure you clean them out first.
What's this? Well, the most unique attribute of Vanessa's shoes isn't their two-tone color but the beautiful square of fuseglass that defines the toe.
