School's Out - Senior Profiles 2003

Name: Courtney Jacqueline H.

School: Irondale High School

Activities: Tennis, Basketball, Track, Choir, Band, Youth Group, Music lessons, hanging out with friends.

Favorite TV Show: Dawson's Creek definitely! My friends and I had Dawson's Creek socials every Wednesday night of our senior year.

Favorite Movie: The Little Mermaid because I've always wanted to be one.

Favorite Music Artist: I don't think I have a favorite but I really like country music, such as Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and Tim McGraw.

Random Fact/Story about Tommy (funny or serious): Tommy is a very caring and honest friend and used to always keep me accountable by making sure I did my bible studies every day.

School Next Year: Bethel College

Biggest Accomplishment in HS: Learning to not be afraid of just being myself and meeting new people. I used to be the shyest person coming into high school and all I ever wanted was to fit in and be like everyone else. But as I grew up and grew in my faith I learned that God made everyone different and unique and people could like me for who I am.

Most Important Thing Learned in HS: The most important thing I learned in high school is to stay true to yourself. Don't pretend to be somebody you're not. It's not worth it.

Favorite Memories in HS: Senior Year was the most fun I have ever had. After hiding behind books and being a sports freak for most of high school, senior year was the time when I decided to just let it loose! Homecoming and all the dances and just hanging out were the best!

Have You Had The Same Friends All Four Years: Some of my friends have been the same since the beginning of middle school, but I met a lot of new people my junior and senior year of high school. Being in a variety of activities allowed me to meet many different people and have friends from totally random places.

Advice To Underclassmen: Make the most of high school and treat every day as if it were your last. Open yourself up to people and try new things. Don't be afraid to just be who you are. Put God first in your life and remember that he will always be at your side, loving you and ready to help.

Goals For The Future: To make a difference in at least one person's life and to be happy. Although I am not sure what I want to do or who I want to be, I want to have a good time and always live for God..
