Tom Cruise plays Maverick, a new hot shot student at the Top Gun Naval Flight School, where he fights the attitudes of the other pilots and tries to prove that he is not his father, who died in combat after he made an error that killed others in the mission. His nemesis, Iceman (Val Kilmer) actually forces Maverick to be the best pilot that he can be despite the death of his co-pilot Goose (Anthony Edwards).

If you were in love with this movie back in 1986, you'll love it even more on the new Blu-Ray release. Not only do you get to watch this high-octane action movie over and over, but the special features on the disc are amazing. The DVD itself is worth it for the special features alone. There are hours worth of "behind the scenes" and "making of featurettes".

And if that's not enough, four music videos from the orginal movie are on there as well, including: "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin, "Heaven In Your Eyes" by Loverboy and "Top Gun Anthem" by Harold Faltermeyer and Steve Stevens.
