Tokio Hotel - Scream

Release Date: May 6, 2008
Length: 58 minutes
Rating: 3 1/2 out of 4 stars

Ready, Set... Rock! The highly anticipated release Scream from pop rockers Tokio Hotel definitely lives up to the hype. While it does suffer from one too many tracks, the majority of this release is guaranteed to rock you.

Kicking off the album, Scream will get you off your chair with a fist in the air. It's got a similar vibe that put P.O.D's Alive all over soundtracks earlier this decade. Next up their single, Read, Set, Go! adds a little more polished feel to the edge that opens the CD with some great guitar work by Tom Kaulitz while his brother Bill's vocals are right on the money.

While Tokio Hotel clearly has a hard edge, the Scream contains a handful of slower power tracks with big choruses that seem to be a matured version of the sound that dominated MTV in the late 80's. If you like an act with strong choruses with knows how to rock, this is an album you'll want to check out.
