Keep Your Mind Wide Open… is not only a phrase used throughout the movie but is also something one should keep in mind if you’ve seen the trailer. This film protected its story by not giving away too much, but in the process gave the impression of a film that it isn't. While it has been marketed as something for Narnia fans, it's far from it.

The story takes place in a simple town with scenes that might actually seem closer to home to young adults that even today's teens. A place where the family eats together and children are expected to do their chores.

Many complex issues are dealt with including bullying as well as identifying sources of that behavior. In fact the entry age for this film is probably around nine because of this. However it is those issues that create a solid base for the film and give it something everyone can learn.

Bridge To Terabithia is a touching movie about the importance of friends, self-discovery and confidence. You may not love it, but you will be moved.
