Shrek The Third DVD

Release Date: November 14, 2007
Length: Approx. 100 minutes
Rating: 3 out of 4 stars

The wisecracking ogre is back for the third installment of the Shrek movies.Once again what appears to be a children's movie is peppered with adult level jokes that (hopefully) sail over the kid's heads.
Prince Charming and various other fairy tale villians are tired of being the losers in their respective stories and try to take over the land of Far Far Away. Meanwhile, Shrek attempts to escape being king by seeking out the only other heir to the throne, a troublesome teen named Arthur.

The movie is filled with great jokes and heart as once again Shrek and his supporting cast save the day. Wry jokes at the expense of Disney and more"traditional" animated movies abound. Despite the postmodern sensibilites, everyone learns an important lesson and the good guys win in the end.

The picture is sharp and clear and colors are vibrant. The animation quality doesn't look any different than the previous two films. The DVD comes with tons of extras include cut scenes, games, and behind the scenes featurettes.
