Coming to Disney DVD and Blu-ray Hi-Def Disc on July 15, 2008, it’s College Road Trip starring Raven-Symoné and Martin Lawrence. This movie was a pleasant surprise with Raven moving away from her over-the-top comedic acting that she’s known for from “That’s So Raven.”

When senior Melanie Porter (Raven-Symoné) plans a trip with her high school girlfriends to look at colleges, her police chief father (Martin Lawrence) is determined to keep her from straying too far from home. Hoping to convince her to attend a school close to home, he insists on accompanying her on the trip, but his hilariously over-the-top efforts to protect his little girl backfire in a multitude of sidesplitting ways. Add one small stowaway, an over-caffeinated pig and a busload of unexpected encounters and it all adds up to an unforgettably funny journey packed with enough high energy hijinks and humor to keep the entire family laughing.

Also worth mentioning are the performances of the supporting cast. Brenda Song (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody) does a great job playing Melanie Porter’s friend. Lucas Grabeel (High School Musical) makes a very humorous cameo appearance. And Donny Osmond is the comic relief playing that guy that you just love to hate, but keeps you laughing anyway.

What is not expected from this movie is the amazing connection between father and daughter that will make viewers wish that they had a box of Kleenex nearby.
