Nicholas
Cage, Jon Voigt, Sean Bean and Diane Kruger star in the
action packed adventure movie "National Treasure".
Nicholas Cage and company follow a treasure map on the
Declaration of Independence that takes them through nearly
every historically significant location on the eastern
seaboard, while trying to stay one step ahead of Sean
Bean and his team of baddies.
This
two disc collector's set includes the movie as well as
a second disc with four features that have information
on both the filming of the movie as well as historical
background about codes and ciphers throughout history.
Director Jon Turteltaub introduces each deleted scene
and the alternate ending. His genuine enthusiasm for the
film and history comes through in every description of
the scenes.
The
film's picture is crisp and many of the new special features
are
available in widescreen.
Highlights:
A fast moving movie with a fun sense of history. A wide
variety of background information that gives a sense of
the locations.
Cons:
The
main disc has approximately 16 previews and ads before
the main menu. Two of the new special features reuse the
majority of their footage from the original special features.
