The opening number features a pop rock heavily produced version of the classic, Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree by Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana. As usual, you can expect the classic Miley vocal fills… ‘oh yeah!’ It’s fun, fun, fun! Coming your way next is the Jonas Brothers with a high octane power pop/punk original song, Girl of My Dreams. With heavy drums and gang vocals, once again imagine the club packed wall to wall and the bands going nuts. Jonas Brothers fans will not be disappointed. On track three the Cheetah Girls emerge with a previously unreleased song Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. It’s on par with tracks from their Cheetah-liscious Christmas CD and is one that deserves a listen. In 2006, Ashley Tisdale released a cover of Wham’s Last Christmas – this year it’s a nice addition to Disney Channel Holiday, possibly a track that will bring a smile from Mom. Up next it’s Corbin Bleu with a smooth version of This Christmastime that vocally could draw comparisons to Jesse McCartney. Keke Palmer follows with a fun mid-tempo of Home For The Holidays. After several film projects we see Christy Carlson Romano returns with the track Best Time Of The Year, which is a fun upbeat rocker with a catchy chorus that borrows a melody from Jingle Bells. Just after the midpoint of the CD the appearance of Billy Ray Cyrus adds some flair with Run Rudolph Run. It’s a nice change of pace and a little bit of muscle for Dad to rock out to. Once again, Jordan Pruitt brings an amazing delivery with what could easily be an inspirational classic on Celebrate Love. She definitely has the voice for these slower emotional songs. One other thing that stands out is after a track like this, you’ll be wondering why this CD features the ‘Holiday’ label. Isn’t that so 2006? Lucas Grabeel follows with a vocal performance of Let It Snow that features his strong theatrical singing also found on the most recent DisneyMania CD. While he may not be known for his voice, you gotta love the spirit that Kyle Massey brings to Jingle Bells. The track is nothing but Kyle showboating with the attitude that’s made himself the funny guy on Disney Channel. For those of you that didn’t get Aly & AJ’s Acoustic Hearts Of Winter release last year, you’ll enjoy hearing the best track The Greatest Time Of Year. It’s one of the last tracks from the Aly & AJ version 1.0 era (aka Into The Rush) and will have you hooked to the chorus from the get go. Making her solo debut, it’s Monique Coleman with Christmas Vacation. Fun and catchy! Finishing up the CD is Drew Seeley with his R&B cover of I’ll Be Home For Christmas that starts off with a tip of the hat to Christmas records from previous generations. As the song gets going, you get the trademark vocals of Drew that stands out in this classic.
