Class of 3000 - Music Volume One

Release Date: July 3, 2007
Length: 35 minutes
Rating: 3 1/2 out of 4 stars

Take School House Rock and a little bit of modern Urban and Jazz flavor via Andre 3000 and you've got the Class of 3000: Music Volume One. While this release may fly under the radar it packs away some of the most intelligent commentary and lyrics since the segments created for ABC Television during the 70's. Musically it's got an extremely diverse palette that includes strings and horns and at times excels way beyond the competition.

If you're looking for the right mix of fun music for someone ages 5 to 9 this is a sure thing. However if you're 10 or older, this might just be the perfect companion to your music library providing some insanely fun music when you just can't figure out what mood you're in. It's definitely off the wall different with a touch of musical legitimacy with some deeper themes that you might not expect from a soundtrack to a kids' show. Don't be scared if you're unfamiliar with Class of 3000, these grooves are so good that they'll even have Grandma singing and dancing along to them.
