The Veronicas - February 14, 2006

Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Tommy: You guys are of course huge in Australia, including just being nominated for three MTV Music Video Awards...

The Veronicas: I know it's pretty crazy. It's insane we just found the other day and we're like "Are you serious?" And we like skipped around our bus. And it's a big bus too.

Tommy: And you're not only nominated for awards on that show, but you're going to play too!

The Veronicas: Yeah we are. We're going to be playing our newest single over there. It's called "When It All Falls Apart" So we're very excited to be able to go back and do that. Rock it out with our band.

Tommy: Yeah, so far your music has been received real well in the U.S. with '4ever' doing totally awesome on TRL. What has your experience been like with all this U.S. exposure?

The Veronicas: I guess it being successful in the U.S. is pretty insane. I mean ya know over in Australia it's kinda going pretty well and that's one thing but then coming back over here it's like insane when we realize we're in actually America and the song is doing so great. So it's kind of a bit of a trip.

Tommy: In the start of 2006 you began touring with a full band...

The Veronicas: Yes we did! Our boys, our four amazing boys wait.. one, two, yep - four amazing boys and us. They're awesome and ya know when we go to Australia they've never been there before so we're very excited to show them vegimite and stuff.

Tommy: Now how are these shows different than the acoustic ones you performed on tour with Ryan Cabrera?

The Veronicas: I guess ah yeah, well on the Ryan Tour we kinda just had two guitarists, it was acoustic. This show we actually get to rock out with our band. Ya know we've got a bass player, a drummer, the boys get to play electric, Jess gets scream, we get to run around and dance on stage and I think it's just a lot more energy on stage I guess.

Tommy: And does that screaming work a little bit better with the electric than the acoustic?

The Veronicas: No... it works great both ways! Let me tell you, let me tell you Tommy2, let me tell you. She'd like to believe it works well both ways but I think a lot more people kinda of get in to get it on the electric vibe.
