Jessie Daniels - April 14, 2006

Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Tommy: What have you been up to since the last time I saw you?

Jessie: Wow, it’s weird. It’s been 2 years ago this June. My life has been pretty crazy. Since then I’ve just been working in Nashville and I finally signed a record deal in September of 05 with Midas Records and that was really exciting. You know that was the goal for a few years there, so. Once that happened we just started working on the record and it’s almost finished and June 6th is the release date. Right now I’m in the process of, I just got off a six week radio tour. Just going and meeting different radio stations. People that play my music, people that don’t. I just got to show them my face so they get to see, I guess who Jessie Daniels is and I get to tell them a little about myself and stuff and now I’m just working on getting a tour schedule together.

Tommy: And that Radio Tour you had was for your new song The Noise. It came in at number four this week on the Christian CHR charts. Now just so people can get an idea of how huge that is, that puts you in front of Aly & AJ and Krystal Meyers. You’ve gotta be thrilled about that.

Jessie: Well yeah, it’s really exciting just because I’m a new artists on a new label. Ya know I’m not on a label that’s had success in the Christian Industry before. So it’s really just I guess exciting that a lot of people have taken to my song an I dunno, I’m definitely excited about it.

Tommy: Since you played a part in writing that song, what is it all about and what does it mean to you?

Jessie: The Noise to me is just really about how peoples opinions and all the decisions that you have to make and all the chaos that goes on either from day to day or week to week or whatever. For me being a Christian above all that I ultimately want to hear God’s voice. I want to hear what God, umm where he’s leading me and what his will is for me. So the theme behind that song is I want His voice to break through The Noise.
