Chucky Klapow - November 2002

Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Tommy: Could you tell us when you first started dancing?

Chucky Klapow: I started dancing when I was 10 years old, so about 12 years ago I started. I started out with tap first, than I started doing other things like jazz and hip/hop years later.

Tommy: At what point did dance become something really serious to you?

Chucky Klapow: When I turned 12 I got an agent, and started working professionally. I really loved doing that and I’ve been doing it ever since.

Tommy: Most of the people listening will probably know you from the work you’ve done with the A*Teens, how did you get started out with them?

Chucky Klapow: I started as their dancer, two and a half years ago, the summer of 2000, I started out as their dancer when they opened for Britney Spears and my friend Wade was doing choreography back then with this guy Dan, and they called me up to be one of their dancers. I didn’t have an audition or anything but since they knew me, and then after the summer tour they found out I do choreography as well, and they had me do the Halfway Around The World video. Ever since than I’ve been with them.
