Chris Trousdale

Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Tommy: You’ve been lying low for quite awhile now. Obviously you’ve been working hard on upcoming events. Can you give everyone a rundown on what you’ve actually been up to?

Chris Trousdale: Yeah, sure. I’m basically trying to create a really good album. I don’t want to throw anything together,, I’m not trying to rush and get something out there for the sake of competition or getting something out there. I want more than nine songs, I preferably want a full CD. I’m trying to get good songs… good writers. Writers that have done stuff before. I’m working with Damon Sharpe who wrote Jennifer Lopez’s Love Don’t Cost A Thing and he also wrote Usher’s You Make Me Wanna. So I’m just trying to get my album together. I’m trying to make a really decent album. I want more than just two songs that are successful. I want all the songs on my album to be songs that could be singles.

Tommy: Which is a lot different than what the record industry is doing these days.

Chris Trousdale: Exactly because of the whole MP3, and all the downloading off the Internet. It’s pretty much, put two songs on your album that are good and the rest is all gonna be downloaded anyway. So I’m just trying to, and hopefully that’ll give an incentive to go buy the album if just more than two songs are good. Cause then when the album does come out, they won’t be able to download it right away. And plus, I’m so sick of the whole downloading cause I used to download music until I started writing my solo stuff and then I realized - wow, what are you doing. You know how hard it is to work on their album. And it’s just a really difficult thing to do and especially.. and I do understand it’s pretty easy to download music. So in my CD, I want to also offer them a lot of multimedia material. Ya know with the CD.
