Christmas Memories - December 22, 2006
Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.
Tommy: Let’s find
out from Ashlee Simpson about the best gift she’s
ever received.
Ashlee Simpson: I don’t
know a lot of people ask me what my favorite Christmas
gift is and I never can think which one was my favorite.
It was just fun to open up everything. I always like stockings
though cause they had a bunch of like for me my Mom would
put a bunch of beauty supplies in there and I loved that.
Tommy: Next up we’ve
got Jump5 with some of their interesting presents. So
what’s some of the coolest things they’ve
received?
Chris Fedun: I think
the favorite thing I received is I got a dog when I was
about 10 years old.
Lesley Moore: My favorite
gift that I ever got for Christmas was a pair of diamond
hoop earrings.
Brittany Hargest: Okay
as a gag gift one time umm I make this big deal about
not really drinking tap water. I only like bottled or
fountain water, so my Mom and Dad got me one of those
water cooler things that you can just put your cup in.
Brandon Hargest: Now
I’m not sure what my favorite gift I received was
cause I can’t think off the top of my head now but
I remember the favorite gift that I gave before and that
was to my Mom and Dad. Brittany and I got them a 50 something
inch Plasma HD TV and my Dad almost cried when he saw
it cause he’s always wanted one. So that was a really
cool Christmas. It was a lot of fun for the whole family.
Tommy: And what do the
Pussycat Dolls look forward to every year?
Nicole Scherzinger: Just
doing the traditional things with the family every year.
Nothing ever really changes, everybody cooks the same
dish meets the G-Ma’s, opens there presents at the
same time and yeah, just traditions.
Kimberly Wyatt: Christmas
movies on Christmas Eve has always been my thing like
Scrooge, The Elf, How The Grinch Stole Christmas,
all those are…
Carmit Bachar: The Christmas
classics like The Elf with Will Ferrell –
hahaha! I don’t really have any traditions I just
go with the flow. I usually see my Grandmother every Christmas
so that’s really a nice present.
Kimberly Wyatt: Carmit
celebrates Hanukah right?
Carmit Bachar: Yeah,
I do. I celebrate Hanukah, but I also celebrate Christmas
cause a lot of my family members celebrate Christmas.
So I go visit them and it’s a holiday treat.
Tommy: I can only image
what some of the highlights were at the Jonas Brothers
household.
Joe Jonas: Well my mom
makes a lot of cookies around Christmas and that’s
always a highlight. She makes these wreaths, Pumpkin Chocolate
Chip Cookies. Ohh, and then she makes the wreath cookies
that make corn flakes but she puts green dye with marshmallow
stuff on them.
Kevin Jonas: It’s
pretty much a Rice Crispy treat but in the shape of a
wreath.
Joe Jonas: It’s
so good! And she has Red Hots on them. She makes the best
cookies.
Kevin Jonas: And then
of course putting up the Tree. My Dad is the light Nazi
when it comes to the tree. It takes us impossibly, what
– right now since we’re on the road so much
we bought a tree that already has lights on it. Yeah,
we kinda, I know – whatever. But umm, it seriously
used to take us five hours to put the lights on the tree.
So he’s pretty crazy about that but you know I love
it now, all the lights are perfect.
Kansas Calkhoven: One
thing we love to do as a family over the holidays is create
memories and have lots of fun with each other. We love
to go out into our hot tub.
Jamie Calkhoven: Okay,
so we live in Iowa where it’s really cold and we
usually get lots of snow.
Kansas Calkhoven: Yeah,
a lot as in two feet sometimes. We love to play games
with each other and especially bets. So one thing we do
is, Jasmyn gets in the middle of the hot tub and us four
other girls get on the outside. Well, we see who can race
around the house the fastest.
Jamie Calkhoven: In our
swimsuits!
Kansas Calkhoven: But
the thing is we can’t have any short cuts. Not through
the house not through the garage or jump over anything.
