Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Tommy: Hey how ya doing today?

Alyssa: I’m doing good thank you.

Tommy: Okay, first off why don’t you introduce yourself a little and tell us something about yourself like the instrument you play and then something else, like maybe your favorite fast food hang out?

Alyssa: Well my name is Alyssa and I play bass and keyboard in the band and sing about half of the lead vocals and my favorite fast food place, ummm… there’s a great fast food Chinese restaurant by our home in Chicago and it’s called Gilberts. And it’s been one of my favorites. It’s absolutely amazing!

Tommy: You’re probably not gonna believe me, but I’m actually a fan of that place too.

Alyssa: Oh really?

Tommy: That’s right it was one of my favorites growing up. Now last year your song ‘Never Alone’ completely dominated Christian Radio and is now getting some spins on Top 40 radio. What’s the secret to that song?

Alyssa: Well ya know, I was kind of surprised too when it happened. I think the thing about it is, it’s a song so personal to us girls. It’s something that came from the pages of our journal and I think people like honesty. I think people are able to relate because you know, I didn’t know, but so many other people have gone through that same feeling of ya know, where is God? Ya know, is he even talking to me? What’s happening in my life? That questioning of who’s taking care of me? Why can’t I seam to hear God or feel God and I feel like I’m on my own and just that truth of God’s there whether or not we feel Him. Ya know that’s just the truth of who He is and He’s always taking care of us. It’s something that’s such a simple concept but something that really gave a lot more people hope cause a lot more people are facing that feeling right now. So yeah, it’s just the honesty I guess.
