Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Raul: First of this is now the fifth season of Degrassi. This must be beyond your imagination to be on a show this long.

Miriam McDonald: It really is I mean when I came into it I was this little 14 year old girl who had no idea what this industry was all about or no idea how to act or how to be on TV or how to be in the media and over the past five years I have grown so immensely. It’s kind of beyond comprehension.

Raul: And for you it started off with a bang because the first episode it really set the standard for the show cause you met this guy online. Turns out to be someone old enough to be your father essentially.

Miriam McDonald: Exactly!

Raul: And it really just set the tone for what this show was all about.

Miriam McDonald: You’re right I was just thrown into it and it really set the tone for being an issues based show and a show that isn’t afraid to tackle the hard topics and talk about the stuff that a lot of people don’t want to talk about.
