Ashley Tisdale & Vanessa Anne Hudgens - March 3, 2006
Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.
Raul: This high school musical has gone
through the roof, how do you feel about that?
Vanessa Anne Hudgens: You know it’s
phenomenal, I mean we knew it was gong to be a big thing, but nobody knew
it was going to be this big of course I’m just so proud, and it’s
so great hearing me on the radio. It’s phenomenal really.
Raul: Not just on the radio, but having
so many songs on the radio and without a doubt one of the biggest selling
soundtracks of the past couple of years really.
Vanessa Anne Hudgens: I know it’s
like astonishing, you know it hasn’t really sunk in yet I mean the
whole thing has blown up so big and I’m still the little girl that
likes to shop. I don’t know, I mean it’s amazing, it’s
so big and unbelievable it hasn’t really sunken in yet.
Raul: Ashley last time we talked High
School Musical hadn’t even aired yet but now it’s aired and
what the heck’s going on?
Ashley Tisdale: It’s crazy, it’s
like it’s huge. I mean we never expected this much. We knew the
movie was gonna be really good cause we all can feel that and we knew
it was gonna be really fun and kids would like it but, I think the album
coming out of left field and going Gold is like absolutely nuts and we
never imagined that in a million years and it’s really, really awesome.
All this stuff is so cool. We’ve worked so hard and we love doing
what we’re doing and we’re excited we’re going to do
a sequel. So, we love that kids love it. Ya know it was fun.
Raul: And it must be a real high for
you to realize that you’re charting bigger than a lot of real big
name acts right now.
Ashley Tisdale: I know um, I have to
say the weirdest thing was looking at the Billboard Charts and seeing
like Beyonce and Sean Paul and all these people and then seeing Ashley
Tisdale, I was like NO WAY! That was just like the weirdest thing ever.
It was really cool, it was a dream come true because I really want to
record and do an album one day and just seeing that up there. My album
might never get to the Billboard Charts but just seeing that I was actually
on it was really cool.
