Joss Stone - January 27, 2005

Here are some of the highlights from the Interview.

Raul: Let’s talk about the song you’re doing tonight?

Joss Stone: It’s called gotta Right To Be Wrong. It’s one of my own songs. And it’s the first track off of my kinda second album called Mind, Body & Soul.

Raul: We’re in a really groovy outfit.

Joss Stone: Oh thank you!

Raul: Let’s describe your outfit...

Joss Stone: Well I have huge eyelashes on, big hair, and a little mini dress with long sleeves and it’s green with some kind of crazy pattern.

Raul: And you enjoy that?

Joss Stone: I do! I love these kinda clothes.

Raul: The color goes good with you...

Joss Stone: Thank you.

Raul: It kinda does, the green really sticks out on you, I like that. You should do that on do that on your next album cover.

Joss Stone: All right, cool.

Raul: You write all your songs, you have your hand in everything you do, which is just unheard of now of days. Cause a lot of these acts, ya know Britney and these people - they’re manufactured, but you’re natural, you come up with these wonderful Jet Lag and these great songs. How do you write a song, what’s your process?

Joss Stone: Well, I don’t play any instruments. Apart from one song I wrote on that piano and that’s as far as I could go. And then I got somebody else to play it. It’s called Daniel, it’s a song about my brother. I got my friend Angela to play it cause of course I would never do that. But usually when I right with some people, they’ll make a track and you just work on everything together apart from I kinda stay away from the track. I put in my ideas, but I never ya know get on the keyboards or nothin’. So I kinda stick with the melody and lyrics.
